Saint-François is a charming village located on the eastern tip of the mainland. 30 km from the Pôle Caraïbes airport, it is active and lively and is an ideal starting point to discover the archipelago of Guadeloupe.

Saint-François offers many attractions:

 An aerodrome, an 18-hole golf course, a modern Marina with 220 rings, a nautical base, a fishing port and a Casino.

There are many activities on offer: ULM flight (www.volpendulaireguadeloupe.com), parachute jumping, paragliding, surfing, scuba diving, kayaking, jet skiing, fishing, horseback riding, hiking on the coast.

A traditional local market is held in Saint François every Tuesday at the end of the afternoon around the « Place de la Rotonde ».

The many beaches that make its reputation are protected from the Atlantic currents by a coral reef.

Saint François is the starting point for the islands of the archipelago: La Désirade, Petites Terres, Marie-Galante, Les Saintes

The « Pointe des Châteaux », a classified national site, is a rocky outcrop that constitutes the Atlantic end of Grande Terre and dominated by a high cross facing the ocean.

The indigoterie, the Chassaing mill and the Zevallos house are listed as historical monuments.
